Nolboo Hangari Galbi

With all the K-pop craze over the years, it's hard to miss out on Korean fare, because scores of Korean restaurants are popping out all over our tiny island! So far the only memorable experience I had with Korean food is the one at Su Korean with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. I'm not sure if the restaurant is still around, and thinking of the fragrant Ginseng Chicken soup makes me want to have it for lunch later.

So it's the second time I'm having Korean for dinner, with the same girlfriends, albeit 2 years older. Haha. We settled for Nolboo Hangari Galbi at Orchard Central and it was rather quiet as the FnB scene there is still young. Look at that place now, bustling with activities!

Korean food is really not bad, however I would prefer a Japanese cuisine anytime over it. From the pictures, we ordered pork belly, some beef streaks, bibimbap rice, Stewed Beef & Vegetables noodles, Seafood fried rice and spicy rice cake. Mel loves the rice cake, though I do not appreciate its charm.. the others were okay, actually what we had, were very common. I mean, seafood fried rice, beef noodles, and pork belly? How Korean is that! Hahhaaaa





Soon, I'll post another Korean dinner I had near Ann Siang, that's really sumptious, and authentic!



We were holding on to Victoria's Secret lotion bottles! Mel brought it back for us and we couldn't get over the fragrance! Had a hard time choosing which scent suits me best! :)


I guess when it comes to such bonding over dinner, the food is really secondary to the company. I am meeting the girls in a mere 4 days, and we're going to Wild Honey! Wooohhooo~

Know what I've been up to lately? I've been attending interviews. Yeeeesss, I am changing my job again.. (!) But well, it's only for the better. I've always breezed through interviews and this time is no exception. I feel that my value has gotten higher in fact, I no longer had to do with whatever comes first, now, I actually am able to take my time and choose which is best. I had 7 interviews squeezed in 2 days and 5 returned call! So I settled for the one that promised me pro-rated variable bonus when I go over on the 25th this month (good right!) and also an increment upon confirmation, and of course, the one that offered a brighter prospect.. I will not be doing so much on general HR admin now, rather, something that is very new to me, implementing policies, reviewing performance appraisal, working on a HRIS system etc.. ok layman terms? Basically building the skeleton of HR. Exciting! :) I know it's hard to tell a character from a 1 hour interview, but I'm telling you, my new boss is going to be great! She likes me so much she counter-offered 3 times. And people who like me gets along dandy with me! Cheeers to a great working relationship!
