Basilico & Tom's Palette

Long hiatus huh? :) I sat for my last paper today and finally, another treacherous semester is over. I am looking forward to the long break! I spent the day with my aunt and it's been awhile we got together like that. And I was lamenting to her about losing George Yeo! Yes, I haven't got over it! SIGH SIGH SIGH!

What I really crave now is a meal at Basilico! Perhaps the last BBQ buffet at M Hotel's Cafe 2000 was not savoury enough, I have been yearning and yearning to go to Basilico! Lunching there during my last visit made my Sunday one beautiful one~ I love Sunday brunch!

Come to think if it, I've never liked going out on Sundays, but for the past year, I've been having quite a bit of activities on Sunday. Perhaps I do not have Monday blues, and therefore don't mind busy weekends. And that's the difference.

One of the better Sundays was spent learning to make ice cream at Tom's Palette! So fun and so rowdy!

The space we were confined in was pretty small for all of us and seriously, every inch was maximised, makes me wonder now how we manoeuvred the area!

We had a recipe book (which I've lost) and we tried creating matcha, choc and earl grey tea ice cream from flour and eggs! Brilliant! And when the product was ready, you could tell from the photos that we were mighty pleased with what we've done!
