UPDATE:
Third day in the Philippines, and I am loving it now! I'm still not quite used to the fact that they don't take vegetables here, in fact, none of my meals have vegetables in them. :( I love my veg.. Have I mentioned how hospital the Pinoys are? They are a lovely bunch, they make me feel so at home. Thank you. :)
Yesterday I traveled up to Batangas, and we had a short-stopover at Tagaytay, the place is awesome. I've always been a scenic person, so naturally I fell in love with the volcanoes, and I saw how low the clouds were, they perched above the mountain tops! We were driving down the treacherous bends and what I saw, I can never experience them at home, that's why I so love it here. There is an obvious contrast of the well-to-do and the poor here. The countryside life is lovely, the houses built were so English/European, and the lands resembled so much like Europe, with the horses, the cows, the plains and the castle! Yes, castle! I later found out that the castle is part of Fantasy World, an amusement park that is now deserted I hear.
However it is quite different with the poor, they live in shacks and it's somewhat nostalgic to me. Have I been here before? The children playing in the dusty streets, the street cables, all seem very familiar. Anyhow, I love the Jeepneys, they are terribly cute and the people give their Jeepney names!

It's my second day in Manila, and I think during meal time is quite a headache. I really want to try some authentic Philippines fare here, explore the streets abit, and... GET A BUBBLE TEA! I'm having a BBT withdrawal syndrome, more like a meltdown. And I was so driven to look for one that I went to google for Bubble tea in Manila. And I realise I was so wrong that there is no BBT here! In fact, they have brands we have like Chatime and Happy Lemon! Wooo hoooo! My days here will never be the same!

My geographic location reads Manila, and I'm going to be camped out here for a week.. so far it's work work and work, but tomorrow I swear I'm going to hit the malls! I can't deny they serve up some really good Korean fare here. I'm surprised the food is expensive! My lunch bento cost me $8 while a bowl of Seafood Ramyeon from the Korean eatery was $7.65, they're much more expensive than SG!
Where I stay, it's like a little Korean town here, the whole stretch of street is littered with Korean mini-marts, Korean restaurants, Korean snacks. I'll update with pictures when I have my photos uploaded.
While I'm in foreign territory, I just have to get something off my chest about the taxi uncle back at home. The sucker wants to claim $10K in medical fees. $10K!?? Isn't it a bit much for someone who walked out of the cab SMILING? And if your passenger isn't claiming, then why should you be?!
The boy who never smiles says that he wants so badly to call the guy and ask "Uncle! You wanna claim $10K!? Your injury so serious? Then when are you going to die?" HAHAHA I LIKE IT.
It's another reason to add on to my list on why I hate taxi drivers. I've enough material for a book. Ahhhh why do we even allow scum to breed in our society...!
